Contemporary Architecture refers to modern styles of design that utilise sleek, flat lines and cleaner finishes with less detail in comparison to Traditional Architecture. With Contemporary Architecture, you will typically see the use of materials such as concrete, timber, aluminium and glass.

Similar in style to Traditional Architecture, Heritage Architecture is specific to a home that is listed as a Heritage Property with Brisbane City Council. As such, specific rules and regulations must be met when creating design plans for such homes, so as to preserve its heritage features.

At Ivan Gastaldon Architects, we are well known for our Traditional Architecture, which utilises intricate and detailed design principles, and preserves historic features of the home to create a timeless, elegant look. Materials used are commonly timber predominant, but may also include other elements such as stone, brick or tile.
